Carol Lynn Kopke, O.D. Dr. Kopke was born in Green Bay, WI and raised on a dairy farm in Little Suamico, WI. She attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI for two years and received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1996. Dr. Kopke started her ideal career working in ophthalmology, then free lanced at many commercial practices before settling into her dream practice. In 2001, she purchased her first private practice in Melrose Park, and later opened her second practice in the Bloomingdale area in 2004. She focuses on treating ocular disease, custom contact lens fitting, and vision related to learning disorders. Dr. Kopke believes in the human factor. Her mission is to provide quality care with a personal touch. It's about caring. She uses a team approach in managing her staff. The staff at Optica is a little family and when patients come in they are welcomed into the family. She is very personal and down to earth. She can talk to you about anything ranging from how the Packers are going to beat the Bears to any current hot topic. Dr. Kopke devotes most of her time taking care of her patients, but in her spare time she usually spends the holidays with her family in Wisconsin.

Alejandro J. Ramirez, O.D. Dr. Ramirez was born in Mexico and raised in Chicago. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned his Doctorate of Optometry in 2004. Dr. Ramirez is fluent in Spanish and enjoys providing family eye care. In his spare time he likes to exercise and watch various sports. When the weather is nice he spends time outdoors cooking out with family and friends.

Kristi, Manager Bloomingdale Kristi is from Lansing, IL. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2007 with a Bachelors degree in English. She assist's in providing quality eye care with a personal touch. She can assist and educate you on your optical needs. Kristi's responsibilities include supervising staff, work coordination, and training programs. She handles customer service and public relations. She performs accounts receivable, inventory control, and patient care. Kristi enjoys reading, watching movies, shopping, and traveling.

Elsa, Manager Melrose Park Elsa was born in Chicago and currently resides in Melrose Park, IL. She is bilingual and assist's in providing quality eye care with a personal touch. She can assist and educate you on your optical needs. Elsa's responsibilities include supervising staff, work coordination, and training programs. She handles customer service and public relations. She performs accounts receivable, inventory control, and patient care. Elsa has a beautiful daughter that she devotes all her free time to. Elsa enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, and watching tv.

Evelyn, Manager Evelyn was born in Chicago and currently lives in Glendale Heights. She is bilingual and assists in providing you quality eye care with a personal touch. Her responsibilites include patient care tasks of receptionist, technician, and optician. Evelyn has four children that keep her very busy. She enjoys shopping, and going to the movies.

Edward, Lab Manager Edward was born and raised in Sterling, IL. He is a former medical technician. Edward adds alot of diversity and personality to the office. Edward's responsibilities include managing the optical laboratory, maintenance duties, and accounts receivables. You will often see him picking up and delivering glasses that need to be cut. Edward loves fast cars, playing computer games and watching war movies. He is also an avid fisherman and loves to compete in various fishing tournaments

Jan, Administrative Assistant Jan was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She lives in Melrose Park, IL and has over 20 years of optical experience. She has been with Dr. Kopke her entire private practice career. Jan's responsibilities are mostly administrative and conducting vision therapy. Jan is the rock of both offices. She is always willing to lend a hand in whatever is needed and is a great listener. Jan enjoys spending time with family and friends. She has a wonderful husband and two beautiful children. During the spring and summertime, she spends her free time planting rose bushes. Jan and her family love trying new restaurants and going to Cubs games.
